1. One day, Manny the Mannequin finds a book on humans. The more he reads, the more interested he becomes.
2. When he discovers the subject of love, he begins to daydream. The idea of loving someone and being loved in return excites Manny.
3. Taking a step of faith, he holds out his heart, making it accessible to anyone who will love him.
4. In the midst of his endeavor, Manny finds himself in front of a mirror. His reflection is a reality check. Manny is a wooden mannequin; he cannot and never will be human.
5. Manny’s heart is broken.
