🕎 HAPPY SECOND NIGHT OF HANUKKAH! 🕎

For night two of Artukkah, we are listening to music from SOLU Israel, a Messianic band based in Israel. As a Messianic Jew myself, I want to feature their beautiful covers & original songs because they’ve been a source of joy during a very confusing & trying time in my life. First of all, you might be wondering “what does “Solu” mean?” In Hebrew, it means “to make a way.”

The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way, a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’” – Mark 1:1-3 (NIV)

You can read the full story of how this band came to be HERE. There are six permanent members: Levi Davis, Nethanel Buehler, Rebekah Wagner, Sarah, Shilo, & Yedidiah Ben Hod. Additionally, Vadym Sokolyk plays bass, & the group frequently collaborates with Joshua Aaron, who was featured on this blog three years ago. Solu Israel has lead worship in Israel, South Korea, & the United States, & they are still on the move, going wherever God opens a door. They have a new video coming soon, featuring one hundred and fifty people worshipping with them. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait! Even if you aren’t a Messianic Jew or Christian, I hope you give their music a chance. It might surprise you & be exactly what you need to hear this holiday season. ❤️
