The Academy Awards have come & gone, and it’s time to reveal my favorite looks. I had planned on featuring mostly women with a sprinkle of dapper gentlemen, but it turns out the 2020 lineup underwhelmed me on both sides. It was a night for classic black so I only chose a few suits to feature plus some with a twist or two. The ladies may not have impressed me, but there are handful of QUEENS to satisfy you until 2021. Starting with the gentlemen, it’s only right that I give a shout-out to Spike Lee who used his red carpet appearance to pay tribute to the Black Mamba, gone far too soon. I salute you sir! 💜🐍💛

Time to crown the queen of the 92nd Academy Awards. Because the choices were few and far between this year, the competition was fierce. Drum roll please! My pick for Best Dressed goes to . . . 🥁 🥁 🥁

I must admit I’m not a huge fan of the black cape. I know it represented all the female directors passed over for Oscar nominations, but in regard to style, it doesn’t add much to the look. That being said, the dress on its own is a D R E A M. 😍

Even though this year wasn’t stellar, I’m still looking ahead with excitement to nine more red carpets in the 2020s. See you in 2021! 🥂
