Today was a day off from work, a teeny tiny vacation away from the chaos of the mall. I’ve worked in retail for four years, & my holiday spirit has never been the same. It is so easy to catch a bad case of The Grinch & go into survival mode until December 25th. Moments like today give me perspective. I can be still & remember the Reason for the Christmas season. Haley Bush’s painting captures animals watching over baby Jesus. Andrew Bosley’s illustration captures a little girl & her father stopping to stare at baby Jesus while surrounded by baubles & shoppers. Two different times, one Jesus. Please take a moment to be still. ♥️
