After another day off, we are diving back into New York Fashion Week. Today’s featured illustrator is New York native Jessica Juliet. There are a couple of details to note about her style. First, she sometimes leaves the hair of her models white, making the color palette of the outfit pop. Second, she accentuates the apples of the cheeks with circles which adds both abstraction & drama. Sometimes she uses circles elsewhere: chin, knees, shoulders, etc. If you don’t know the significance of that particular shape, it is a tool for beginners drawing the human figure.
