What struck me instantly about Ira’s work were the eyes of her models. They are detailed & expressive, as though you’re looking into someone’s eyes and not an illustration. Many fashion illustrators work with exaggerated faces, one particular quirk ( long eyelashes, one winking eye, etc), or no faces at all. Ira sets herself apart with realism via the eyes, the window to one’s soul.
