Aditi’s illustrations are soft. There are very few sharp, defining outlines, but her work stands on its own two feet thanks to masterful mixes of color, pattern, and texture. The heart-shaped faces are sharp and the almond eyes alluring. The blushing cheeks and small but full lips complete the look. In a nutshell, these are painted versions of Barbie dolls. What girl doesn’t want Barbie’s closet?

I chose to pair Aditi with Svetlana for a reason; both of their portfolios remind me of Barbie dolls. However, they are still unique in approach and style. Svetlana’s illustrations resemble animation. They are whimsical and look like pages out of a Barbie book. She takes more inspiration from fantasy than reality. Allow me to gush for a moment. I am head over heels in love with illustration #2!!
