I am currently sitting by a window listening to the rain, a glimpse of magic on an otherwise boring day. In this moment of inspiration, we are going to look at rain interpreted by four genres of art.

I don’t think words are necessary after watching that.

Rain is the original Instagram filter. No one can deny that rain affects perspective and how we view the world. Playing dress up as a child was more fun when I had drenched clothing and raindrops streaming down my face. Rain makes life a little more dramatic and fun. 😉 In a roundabout way, I’m saying Ed Gordeev’s colorful series accurately captures rainy days.

“Kinetic Rain” is an art installation in Changi airport designed by Art+Com and constructed by MKT, Olching. It consists of approximately 1,200 aluminum raindrops, motors controlled by computers, and steel wire. It is visible from all angles, each point of view presenting a unique perspective (“Kinetic Rain”, “Kinetic Rain, 2012”).
