The following are my favorite fashion looks from the week of July 19th. Make sure you read all the way until the end to find out my pick for “Best Dressed.” Enjoy!
JULY 19
– Amy Poehler in Philosophy –

The vibrant greens and pops of red, purple, and pink in this nature-themed dress are working wonders for Amy’s rich, honey brown hair. I love that dark purple nail polish! It is a fall color, but that is my favorite season so I am 100% bias.
JULY 20
– Rachel McAdams in Self-Portrait –

Rachel doesn’t need extravagant makeup or tons of accessories. Simple hair, melon pink lips, a few pieces of jewelry, and an interesting LBD (Little Black Dress) are enough. This is definitely an “Audrey Hepburn” moment.
– Victoria Justice –

Wouldn’t you want to look this cool walking down the street with braided pigtails?? I know I would.
JULY 21
– Caitlin Carver –

This color is stunning!! Minimal accessories, light (almost white) nail polish, and nude heels were smart choices because the star of this ensemble is the peach hue of the dress.
– Hilary Duff –

I am so excited that 70s fashion is making a comeback. I have seen it more and more over the past few weeks. Loose waves, flair jeans, a (borderline) peasant top, and a red-brown shoulder bag. Groovy!
– Joan Smalls in Balmain –

All eyes are on that gorgeous skirt! The heavy contrast makes the floral print look as though it is a painting.
– Poppy Delevingne in Dolce and Gabbana –

One thing is certain: The Delevingne sisters are both fans of Dolce and Gabbana’s Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. I could never pull off a gold garland, pipe cleaner (I’m guessing!) headband, but Poppy is pulling it off. She legitimately looks like a princess!
– Rachel McAdams in Self-Portrait –

I love designs with graphic elements; they are visually satisfying. Forewarning: Ms. McAdams is killing the fashion game this week, and I have given her due recognition for every single outfit.
– Rachel McAdams –

A button-up shirt, black skinny jeans, and heels. This is an outfit I would wear, an outfit I could wear, which is why I like it so much.
JULY 22
– Amy Poehler in Beckley –

I am not a huge fan of pink so the shoes are a bit much for my taste. However, I do like the pink nails, and the dress, which reminds me of colors bars on a vintage TV, looks very nice with Amy’s rose gold (?) drop earrings and side bun.
– Fan Bingbing in Ralph & Russo Couture –

Princess status!! What else can I possibly say??
– Ryan Newman –

What I love most about this look are the details in the dress. The flame pattern, the combination of gray and blue purple, the random smears of pink (which look like bleach stains), and the pockets with rose gold zippers. Something about this dress makes me think of both the 80s and 90s. I think it might be the “distressed”, slightly grunge look of the dress, but I’m not sure.
– Tristin Mays –

A mint blazer, a mint tee with a pop of pink, white skinnies, and mint toenail polish. Bright, summery, and perfect for the premiere of a Syfy movie revolving around an ocean-dwelling animal.
July 23
– Ashley Benson –

This look is also very summery. The design is refined; I would not be surprised if this dress was a piece in a resort collection. It also looks a little 60s.
– Cara Delevigne in Giamba and Nat Wolff –

Cara’s outfit is edgy and very “Rock ‘n’ Roll”, but it isn’t too heavy; her personality still shines through. Nat is hitting all the right fashion notes with his navy blazer, polka dot button up shirt, cuffed pants (I’m not sure if they are dark jeans or not), and laceless, black shoes;
– Christina Applegate –

Christina looks casual and comfy but still put together. The key to pulling off an “I Just Threw This Together” look is to actually put in some effort. Not much, just a little. Also, I am once again spotlighting an outfit because the pieces would be easy for me to find and wear.
– Katie Holmes in Milly –

In general, I am not a fan of metallic shoes, but I love this dress. The paint splatter pattern appeals to my inner artist, and the light colors, perfect for summer, are complementary to both Katie and one another. I also like how Katie’s wavy hair corresponds to the wavy lines in the dress pattern. Details matter!
– Rachel McAdams in Self-Portrait –

This deep blue dress vaguely reminds me of a matador’s traje de luces, a female, fashionable version that is. I like it!
– Rachel McAdams in Zuhair Murad –

Once again, Rachel is rocking a graphic dress. I would prefer a color other than light beige, but color alone cannot ruin this look. It still deserves attention.
– Suki Waterhouse –

One part sleeveless (Bodice). One part wrap (Sash). One part pencil (Inner skirt). One part front slit, a-line, midi (Outer skirt). That sounds like a lot of components, but it isn’t. This is an interesting, beautiful LBD; I would venture to say it would look good in any color or pattern. That’s right, I went there! I don’t think this dress is too complicated for a pattern. That being said, just like Rachel, Suki is having a lovely “Little Black Dress” moment.
JULY 24
– Dove Cameron –

For those who don’t know, Dove Cameron plays the daughter of Maleficent in “Descendants.” I am not sure if this was intentional, but her outfit looks like a cross between Princess Aurora (curly blonde hair and a shiny, light orchid skirt) and Maleficent (Black blouse and red lips). Sugar & spice!
– Hilary Duff in Black Orchid –

I wish I could look simultaneously cute and stylish in overalls. I would probably look awkward and 12. Well done Hilary!
– Kristin Cavallari –

Kristin Cavallari, living proof that pregnant women do not have to sacrifice style. No, that does not mean you have to force yourself to wear dresses and high heels. I’m just saying style in any shape or form is possible while pregnant.
JULY 25
– Avril Lavigne –

This takes me back to the early 2000s, singing along with Avril on Radio Disney. Good times! I am overjoyed to see her back onstage looking as beautiful as ever. Lyme Disease will not win!!
– Maria Menounos –

I am in love with this color! The lilac hue reminds me of “You’re Such a Budapest” by OPi, a gorgeous nail polish for spring and summer; it actually looks like Maria has a similar color on her toes. Back to the outfit. The color is very flattering with Maria’s olive complexion and light, honey brown hair. I also really like the interesting pattern; it reminds me of black ink.
– Reese Witherspoon –

Rees looks good in anything, casual or dressy. Case closed.
There were so many great looks this week, but only one person was obviously deserving of the title “Best Dressed.” And that person is……… Rachel McAdams!! A grand total of five outfits were featured in this blog post. She was on a roll! Brava!
