Today, I am spotlighting artist J. Scott Campbell, specifically his Disney series entitled “Good vs Evil.” Each image portrays the female protagonist from a Disney movie enclosed within the garment of the antagonist from that same movie. The pairings are Snow White & the Evil Queen, Aurora and Maleficent, Rapunzel and Mother Gothel, Alice and the Queen of Hearts, Cinderella & Lady Tremaine, and Ariel & Ursula. Disney is known for their heartwarming, family movies. One can always rest assured that good prevails in the end. However, I like the dark approach Campbell took with this series. It is a reminder that there is always a period of time before the happy ending when good is trapped by evil. I hope you enjoy these works of art as much as I do.

If you do not enjoy Disney, I promise this is the last Disney-inspired art series I will spotlight… for now!! I have many artists to spotlight so stay tuned…
