Hello everyone! Â I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving. Â I went back to school on Monday but only have, after today, two more weeks. Â I must admit I am very ready for a three-week break. Â Photography may seem easy but is very exhausting. Â I always get comments from people like “Photography seems so fun” and “I wish I could have had a college major as fun as photography.” Â True, photography can be fun, but most people do not realize the hard work involved to make a truly successful photograph. Â A snapshot will not make money in reality. Â But, all the hard work pays off when people react positively to your work. Â Okay, enough of me talking. Â I will end this post with two images and a quote. Â I just finished a presentation on Uta Barth and Pete Turner for my Color for Digital Media class. Â So, I would like to share an image from each of those photographers with you.
The first Image is by Uta Barth. Â Her abstract photography offers a unique point-of-view on scenes that aren’t so out of the ordinary. Â The second image is by Pete Turner. Â He uses color as a subject. Â His photos portray a world of bold color that makes one feel so energized. Â How could we ever complain about a boring life when we live in such a colorful world? (Granted he does use digital manipulation to achieve such a colorful look on most of his images.)
